TMC eyes social media campaign to pitch for ‘Mamata as PM’ | India News

KOLKATA: The scramble to become the opposition alliance INDIA’s prime ministerial face was out in the open on Sunday after the Trinamool Congress brass asked its “digital warriors” to go full pelt with a social media campaign promoting party chief and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee as the “right candidate” for the post, reports Tamaghna Banerjee.

A blitzkrieg comprising reels, memes and catchy graphics will be built around the slogan, “Bolche banglar jonota, pradhanmantri hok Mamata (The people of Bengal have declared they want Mamata as PM)”, party leaders said.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh highlighted her record as a seven-time MP and four-time Union minister while challenging anyone to find a more able politician than her.
