Parents Blame Govt For Apathy Towards Rte | Jaipur News

Jaipur: As students and parents continue to face issues with admissions under Right To Education (RTE), parents’ associations in the state say that despite there being good laws in place, students are not getting any benefits of them.

Many parents said that the education department does not respond to complaints or solves the issues of parents and students.
“We conducted a survey across the state and found that most parents are facing problems as the education department does not listen to their complaints and due to disputes between schools and the government, children are being deprived of education by not getting admission under RTE,” said Abhishek Jain Bittu, state spokesperson of Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh (parents’ association).

“Various laws have been made for better education and providing right to education to all, but parents and students are not getting any benefit of those laws,” said Arvind Aggarwal, state president of Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh.
“Every year the forms of more than two-and-a-half lakh children are uploaded on the government’s RTE portal, but only 70,000 children are given admission,” added Aggarwal.
