2 More Arrested In Agra In Bharatpur Bus Firing Case | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Two more men were on Friday arrested by Bharatpur police in the firing case in which gangster Kuldeep Jaghina was killed and his aide Vijaypal was injured. The two, identified as Amandeep Jat and Kuldeep Jat, alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy and harbouring criminals. The total number of arrests in this case has gone up to eight.
Police also claimed to have identified four more accused in the case and announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each on them. Photographs of two more assailants involved in the firing but yet to be identified were also released.
Bharatpur SP Mridul Kachawa said at a press conference that the court had only asked for the personal appearance of gangsters Kuldeep Jaghina and his aide Vijaypal, who were under trial in the case of Kripal Jaghina’s murder that took place in 2022. “Their appearance was sought by the trial court. Thus a warrant was issued, and the rules were followed,” he said.
“Those who are identified for the firing and murder include Devendra, Robin, Pankaj and Lokendra. We have also found the images of two men who were part of the firing group and are yet to be identified. A reward of Rs 25,000 each has been announced against the four identified assailants. Our teams are raiding places, and we expect a breakthrough soon. No one involved in planning and execution of this firing would be spared,” said Kachawa.
The two men arrested on Friday had helped the assailants in conducting a recce of the appearances of police with the two gangsters in the court and later helped the assailants flee, said Kachawa.
“These two accused, identified as Amandeep Jat and Kuldeep Jat, were arrested by a team of Halena police from Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Both were involved in the recce and also helped the assailants flee,” said the SP, adding that police teams have been formed to make further arrests. Six people were arrested on the day of the firing for murder and assault.
Three FIRs have been lodged in this case, said Kachawa. “We have lodged a case on the firing incident at Amoli toll plaza at Halena police station. The family of the victim lodged an FIR at the same police station. One more case was registered at Rudawal police station about the assailants, while fleeing, opening fire on a police team chasing them,” he said.
Armed assailants had opened fire on an RSRTC bus carrying two gangsters on Wednesday, killing Kuldeep Jaghina, the main accused in the Kripal Jaghina murder case, and leaving Vijaypal injured.
