Jhotwara: Jhotwara Rail Overbridge To Be Completed In 2 Months | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The under-construction Jhotwara RoB will be completed within two months, said Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) officials on Tuesday. Officials said that the work is getting delayed as there is a temple, shop and a few other structures in the way and officials are in the process of shifting them.
To check the pace of work, last month, JDA commissioner Joga Ram conducted a ground inspection of the site.
Officials said 61structures have been removed to take possession of lands and the process to remove remaining 32 structures is under process.
“Out of 32 structures, it is necessary to remove 30 structures for construction of service road and two structures for construction of the ROB. The authority is continuously working to expedite the process for shifting/removing these two structures also. At present, the work of about 400 meter length RoB is yet to be completed from Niwaru leg towards Lata Circle and Khatipura and it will be completed soon after the removal of these structures,” said a senior JDA official.
After the inspection, the commissioner had said that the project was conceptualised in 2016 and many houses/shops were getting affected which became a deadlock.
“In 2018, a survey of shops/houses was done with the consent of the concerned trade boards and a total of 642 houses/shop owners were found to be affected by the project. Now, of these 642, only 32 more structures are to be removed which is likely to be completed within two months,” added the official.
